About How Much Useful Links

about Brian's previous experience was with Victoria’s state conservation department on pest plant and animal control for 8 years, and as a Forest Education Officer for 2 years. Karen worked at Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary as a native animal zookeeper for 11 years.

We have gained the highest level of accreditation in Australia for most of our tours -  Advanced Ecotourism Accreditation -  and have been a finalist in the 1997 and 1998 National Banksia Environmental Foundation Awards (Environmental Category). We have also won the Tours category in the Yarra Valley Regional (1997) and Dandenong Ranges (1998) Tourism Associations' tourism awards, and Karen was honoured in 2001 to receive the Yarra Valley Regional Tourism Association's award for her contribution to regional and local tourism. In 2006 we were Finalists in the Leader Newspapers Business Awards, Shire of Yarra Ranges.

All of our local guides will enhance your Australian Wildlife Experience – we know what to look for and where to find it. We have independent and peer evaluation of our tours through the national Ecotourism Accreditation scheme – ecotourism quality you can depend upon. We are currently members of the following tourism industry bodies: Mystic Mountains Tourism Association, Tourism Alliance Victoria and the Ecotourism Association of Australia.

We are contributing to the scientific knowledge about plants and animals in Victoria because our records of significant observations are sent to our state conservation department.
