We are the Night Walk Specialists so come and join us on a fun and educational Night Walk.

Silvan Reservoir

We offer walks at:

Badger Weir Picnic Area(Yarra Ranges National Park), Healesville, Marysville State Forest, Marysville, Upper Yarra Reservoir Park, Reefton, Cardinia Reservoir Park, Narre Warren East and Silvan Reservoir Park, Silvan.

The closest is only one hour from Melbourne. On all of our walks we discuss the aboriginal and european history of the area and help you discover our unique animals and plants. We also have animal artefacts and pictures to enhance your experience.

Native animals seen and heard at night include:

  • Greater Gliders ( Australia 's largest gliding possum)
  • Black Wallabies
  • Eastern Grey Kangaroos
  • Insectivorous Bats
  • Owls
  • Common Wombats
  • Eastern Ringtail Possums
  • Mountain & Common Brushtail Possums
  • Yellow-Bellied Gliders
  • Sugar Gliders
  • Tawny Frogmouths
Torches/flashlights are provided for Night Walk guests.

NOTE:Tours are usually cancelled on days of Total Fire Ban or bad weather.

If you would prefer a daytime Nature Walk, then the animals you might see and hear include:

  • Cockatoos and Rosellas
  • Superb Lyrebirds and Kookaburras
  • Wonga Pigeons
  • Tree Creepers and Blue Wrens
  • King Parrots and Gang Gangs
  • Black Wallabies and Echidnas

    Our guides carry binoculars on Nature Walks.
